Analisis Pemanfaatan Konten dan Kebijakan Akses Repository Instansi: Studi Kasus UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram

Institutional repository berperan penting sebagai sarana strategis dalam pengelolaan dan penyebarluasan karya ilmiah di perguruan tinggi, meskipun dalam praktiknya masih dihadapkan pada persoalan kebijakan akses dan pemanfaatan konten. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan konten serta kebijakan akses repository institusi yang dikelola oleh UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitis, melibatkan dua pustakawan dan enam mahasiswa yang dipilih secara purposive sebagai informan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan kecenderungan temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa repository institusi telah berfungsi efektif sebagai sarana arsip dan preservasi karya ilmiah melalui penerapan kebijakan wajib unggah yang terintegrasi dengan sistem akademik, namun kebijakan akses konten masih bersifat terbatas dan belum didukung regulasi tertulis yang komprehensif. Pembatasan akses terutama didasarkan pada kekhawatiran terhadap plagiarisme dan perlindungan hak cipta, sehingga pemanfaatan repository oleh mahasiswa cenderung terbatas pada fungsi orientasi awal dan referensi pendahuluan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi peran repository institusi memerlukan penguatan kebijakan akses yang lebih jelas dan seimbang antara perlindungan karya ilmiah dan kebutuhan akademik pengguna agar repository dapat berfungsi lebih optimal sebagai sarana diseminasi pengetahuan dan peningkatan kualitas akademik institusi.
