Abstract

This study aims to analyze curriculum planning strategies in improving the effectiveness of learning at senior high schools aadah Langien Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews and observations involving the principal, vice principal, and teachers. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that curriculum planning strategies in senior high schools Darussaadah Langien Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya are implemented in a participatory and transparent manner by involving all school stakeholders, which positively contributes to learning effectiveness. Curriculum planning is conducted systematically and carefully, starting from the preparation of the academic calendar, annual programs, to semester programs. The main obstacles faced by teachers in syllabus development include limited time, extensive subject matter, and the demands of adapting to curriculum changes. Nevertheless, teachers’ active involvement in curriculum planning serves as a key supporting factor in enhancing learning quality, although further support in syllabus development is still required. Therefore, collaborative and structured curriculum planning strategies play a significant role in improving learning effectiveness in senior high schools aadah Langien Bandar Baru Pidie Jaya.
