Abstract

This research aims to explore the terminology of education in the Quran which shows the importance of education for humans. The concept of ideal education in Islam requires a comprehensive understanding of various educational terms in the Quran such as tadabbur, tazkiyah, tafaqquh, and hidayah. To achieve this goal, this study uses a philosophical description method with a maudhu'i tafsir approach to connect various verses related to education. The results of the study show that the concept of education according to the Quran involves the process of guidance, strengthening behavior, understanding, and providing knowledge and skills to students. This is so that they can carry out their responsibilities as the caliph of Allah on earth according to the judgment of Allah.
