In the learning process, there are still teachers who are unable to develop a variety of teaching methods, which affects students' learning interest and, subsequently, their academic achievement. Therefore, teachers need to implement lessons with various approaches to maintain students' interest in learning, one of which is through outdoor learning activities utilizing cultural heritage sites. This is the focus of this study. This study employs a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research results show that, in principle, all madrasahs utilize cultural heritage sites as historical legacies for learning. This aligns with the mandate of the independent curriculum to use the surrounding social and natural wealth as learning resources, as outlined in the madrasah operational curriculum implementation policy. The successful implementation of this requires support from all parties, especially the parents or guardians of the students. Utilizing cultural heritage sites in learning has an impact on improving students' competencies in understanding the history related to their region. Students can more deeply appreciate and understand the struggles of heroes, societal developments, cultural progress, and other related aspects in their surroundings.
